Balmain Glasses - Reinvented By The Akoni Group 

Balmain is a luxury fashion brand founded in 1945 by Pierre Balmain. The brand is known for its sophisticated, elegant designs that exude timeless glamour. Over the years, Balmain has become a symbol of luxury and high-end fashion, worn by some of the most influential celebrities in the world. 

The Balmain eyewear collection was founded in 2011, entering the market with a range of stylish and sophisticated frames that reflected their signature elegance and glamour. Their eyewear is for both men and women who appreciate high-end fashion and for those who want to make a bold statement with their eyewear. Their eyewear license was previously with L’Amy Group - signed in 2011 and ended in 2017. However, at the beginning of 2020, Balmain announced their collaboration with the Akoni Group - an eyewear brand founded in 2019 by Rosario Toscano and Salma Rachid - two individuals who wanted to evolve the eyewear market by combining the finest Japanese materials with skilled producers and artisans. Balmain's Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing, revealed that he wanted to work with Akoni immediately to bring high-quality eyewear to the Balmain brand. 

Balmain glasses are now hand-crafted in Japan using the finest Japanese materials and specialist craftsmanship to create eyewear that is a luxury accessory intended to last. With intricate details and bold gold features - these frames exude luxury and refinement whilst also being the perfect everyday eyewear.
