About LOEWE

LOEWE is a Spanish Maison, of the LVMH group, steep in rich heritage and tradition. In 1846, a cooperative of Spanish artisans created a leather workshop in Madrid and in 1872 Enrique Loewe Roessberg, a German Craftsman, joined the leather workshop. With his entrepreneurial initiative in 1892, Enrique consolidated the workshop and renamed it 'E.LOEWE' and in the years to follow the company gained a reputation for exceptional quality, elegance and refinement which caught the attention of Queen Ena who became a regular customer. Then in 1905, Alfonso XIII granted LOEWE the Royal Warrant of Appointment and the Maison became the official supplier to the Royal Household of Spain. LOEWE quickly grew in popularity and was adorned by influential figures of the time such as Ernest Hemingway, Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth, Marlene Dietrich and Sophia Loren. By the 1970s, LOEWE was a widely recognised fashion house never straying far from its origins in craft and leather expertise. These values are reflected in the brand’s belief in the importance of craft in the modern age, with the creation of the LOEWE logo which was first designed by Karl Lagerfeld. Giorgio Armani and Laura Biagiotti subsequently designed LOEWE’s womenswear collections and since 2013, Jonathan Anderson has been the brand’s creative director. Jonathan Anderson started a new chapter with a bold new visual identity. LOEWE sparks of spontaneity and represents playfulness.

LOEWE’s eyewear is as recognizable as its world-famous bags - their sunglass designs are detailed with the brand's gold emblem or subtle engraved name on the temples. Each pair of LOEWE sunglasses have been made in Italy from high-quality polished acetate and durable metal with the occasional piece of signature leather caressing the frame. Comprising uniquely oversized geometric aviators and round vintage frame shapes - LOEWE glasses come with a distinctive leather case to protect each pair of sunglasses.
