Cutler and Gross SS 23 Collection

Cutler and Gross SS 23 Collection

The Haçienda, a legendary nightclub in Manchester that operated from 1982 to 1997, has inspired a new eyewear collection by Cutler and Gross. The Spring Summer 23 collection draws from the club's vibrant history and features designs that have been reinvented for a modern audience.

The collection is made using high-quality Mazzuchelli acetate material and is crafted by hand in an Italian factory, ensuring that each frame is made with the utmost care and attention to detail. The frames are available in a range of styles, including bug eye frames and statement wraparounds, all featuring thick profiles and an exaggerated fit that would have been at home in the 80s and 90s.

Cutler and Gross has pushed the boundaries of acetate craftsmanship by adding radical bevelled detailing around the perimeter of the lenses, creating an oversized visual impact without adding unnecessary weight. The collection also includes the brand's first wrap frame in over 20 years, with the standout 9276 model referencing the original 0276 style famously worn by Bono of U2 during their Achtung Baby Tour in 1992.

The Haçienda collection represents a resurgence of popularity for Cutler and Gross, a brand that has been creating high-quality eyewear since 1969. With its focus on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, the brand continues to be a favorite among fashion-conscious individuals around the world.
